balancer2 2.0.0.0
|
Balancer 2 Click is an overvoltage protection device for a 2-series cell lithium-ion battery. Click contains two separate overvoltage battery detection circuits and automatic cell imbalance correction.
We provide a library for the Balancer2 Click as well as a demo application (example), developed using MikroElektronika compilers. The demo can run on all the main MikroElektronika development boards.
Package can be downloaded/installed directly form compilers IDE(recommended way), or downloaded from our LibStock, or found on mikroE github account.
This library contains API for Balancer2 Click driver.
- Initialization function.void balancer2_cfg_setup ( balancer2_cfg_t *cfg );
BALANCER2_RETVAL balancer2_init ( balancer2_t *ctx, balancer2_cfg_t *cfg );
void balancer2_default_cfg ( balancer2_t *ctx );
- Function for converting adc value to mV.float balancer2_get_batttery_lvl ( balancer2_t *ctx, uint8_t bat_num );
float balancer2_adc_to_mv ( balancer2_t *ctx, uint16_t adc_val );
uint16_t balancer2_read_adc ( balancer2_t *ctx, uint8_t cmd_byte );
This application enable the batery charge.
The demo application is composed of two sections :
Sets reference volatage of device, sets pins for supply and cells to high.
Every 2 seconds logs readings of battery mV lvl
The full application code, and ready to use projects can be installed directly form compilers IDE(recommneded) or found on LibStock page or mikroE GitHub accaunt.

Additional notes and informations
Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART click, USB UART 2 Click or RS232 Click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all Mikroelektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.
