Click library

  • Author : MikroE Team
  • Date : Dec 2019.
  • Type : I2C type

Software Support

We provide a library for the Haptic Click as well as a demo application (example), developed using MikroElektronika compilers. The demo can run on all the main MikroElektronika development boards.

Package can be downloaded/installed directly form compilers IDE(recommended way), or downloaded from our LibStock, or found on mikroE github account.

Library Description

‍This library contains API for Haptic Click driver.

Standard key functions :

  • Config Object Initialization function.

    ‍void haptic_cfg_setup ( haptic_cfg_t *cfg );

    - Initialization function.

    ‍HAPTIC_RETVAL haptic_init ( haptic_t *ctx, haptic_cfg_t *cfg );

Example key functions :

  • Enable the device function.

    ‍void haptic_enable ( haptic_t *ctx );

    - Disable the device function.

    ‍void haptic_disable ( haptic_t *ctx );

  • Sets the Haptic click to desired mode function.

    ‍void haptic_set_mode ( haptic_t *ctx, uint8_t sel_mode );

    Examples Description

‍This application generate vibrations from the lower frequency range of the audio input.

The demo application is composed of two sections :

Application Init

‍Configures the click board in Audio-to-Vibe mode.

void application_init ( void )
{
log_cfg_t log_cfg;
LOG_MAP_USB_UART( log_cfg );
log_init( &logger, &log_cfg );
log_info( &logger, "---- Application Init ----" );
// Click initialization.
HAPTIC_MAP_MIKROBUS( cfg, MIKROBUS_1 );
haptic_init( &haptic, &cfg );
log_printf( &logger, " Configuring the click board...\r\n" );
log_printf( &logger, "----------------------- \r\n" );
haptic_enable( &haptic );
haptic_start_motor( &haptic );
Delay_ms ( 500 );
log_printf( &logger, " The click board is configured in Audio-to-Vibe mode...\r\n" );
}

void haptic_cfg_setup(haptic_cfg_t *cfg)
Config Object Initialization function.
void haptic_enable(haptic_t *ctx)
Enable the device function.
void haptic_set_mode(haptic_t *ctx, uint8_t sel_mode)
Sets the Haptic click to desired mode function.
HAPTIC_RETVAL haptic_init(haptic_t *ctx, haptic_cfg_t *cfg)
Initialization function.
void haptic_enable_ac_coulping(haptic_t *ctx)
Applies a 0.9-V common mode voltage function.
void haptic_set_input_to_analog(haptic_t *ctx)
Sets the input to analog function.
void haptic_start_motor(haptic_t *ctx)
Starts moving the motor function.
void application_init(void)
Definition main.c:30
Click configuration structure definition.

Application Task

‍An infinite loop.

void application_task ( void )
{
// Nothing to do here...
}
void application_task(void)
Definition main.c:69

The full application code, and ready to use projects can be installed directly form compilers IDE(recommneded) or found on LibStock page or mikroE GitHub accaunt.

Other mikroE Libraries used in the example:

  • MikroSDK.Board
  • MikroSDK.Log
  • Click.Haptic

Additional notes and informations

Depending on the development board you are using, you may need USB UART click, USB UART 2 Click or RS232 Click to connect to your PC, for development systems with no UART to USB interface available on the board. The terminal available in all Mikroelektronika compilers, or any other terminal application of your choice, can be used to read the message.
